Project Cost and Budget ManagementThere are many ways for Project
Cost and Budget Management. We at Mountaintop Consulting

(ANSI-748-98), although the full implementation of EVMS can be
overhead intensive, therefore we have adapted the implementation to
minimise the overhead burden without loosing the rigor and benefit of strong financial planning and
monitoring required for a successful project
management
.

main components are:
Every Project Manager needs to know the answers to 2 fundamental questions: “How are you doing?” and
“How do you know?”
Mountaintop Consulting has implemented an EVMS Planning and Budgeting Process which provides the basis to answer those question and therefore, building objective measures into the project plan at the appropriate management level. The Project Manager can summarise the measures to show the Project Sponsor and the Project Team how the Project is performing in terms of cost, and schedule.
